The Connection

Welcome.

Native American Connections is a unique organization dedicated to gathering donations, both material and financial, then distributing them directly to the Native American people.

We find these people to be warm and intelligent; they are full of culture, personal pride and dignity.  They welcome any and all assistance we can give them with quiet appreciation – and they need so much.

NAC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  No salaries are paid – we are all volunteers.  Our only by-law is that everything received in donation goes directly to the Native Americans (primarily on reservations in South Dakota), or is used for the transportation and storage costs of these goods.

NAC rents storage space in the Boulder area.  We deliver a 24 ft. truck to the reservations packed with material goods, clothing, furniture, toys, food stuffs and medical/dental supplies as often as possible.

Holiday presentations include gift packages with a meal. Winter coat and clothing drives are essential.  Weather conditions are extremely harsh: temperatures of 50 degrees below zero and minus 80 degree wind chills are not uncommon.  The main methods of heating homes are propane or electricity.  Propane is very expensive, and electrical outages are very common in the winter months, so blankets and warm clothing are essential.

Health professionals occasionally provide medical and dental services through our organization, along with eye glasses and other needed supplies. We collect and distribute school supplies at the beginning of each school year as donations allow.  During the summer months, when weather permits, we provide assistance with home repair and maintenance.
